- 2 cups of sugar
- 1-3/4 cups of all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup of Hershey's cocoa
- 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1-1/2 baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
Directions:
- Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Grease and flour two 9-inch round pans.
- Stir together all dry ingredients.
- Add in wet ingredients, except for boiling water, and beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
- Stir in boiling water
- Bake for 30-35 minutes. Make sure you use a toothpick and that it comes out clean!
- Cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer out of the pan to finish cooling.
- Make Chocolate Frosting!!
